Terms & Conditions
PAYMENT:
Please review the following Terms and Conditions thoroughly before placing your order with Flour&. If you have any questions or uncertainties regarding any of the terms outlined below, please feel free to contact Flour& via our contact form or email. By engaging with Flour&'s services, you agree to abide by all the Terms and Conditions detailed herein, and acknowledge that Flour& reserves the right to decline the sale of goods or services, or to cancel an order under specific circumstances.
DEPOSIT INFORMATION
A 50% deposit (via bank transfer, BPay, or credit card) is required within three days to confirm a booking. No order will commence until the deposit has been received. Once paid, the quoted price remains fixed to the details in the quote.
BALANCE DUE
The balance of payment is due (via bank transfer or credit card) TWO WEEKS prior to delivery. Orders will not be delivered or completed unless paid in full. If placing an order within that two-week period, full payment is due immediately for the order to proceed.
CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS
Ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, design requirements, delivery & collection details, and requested changes are properly documented on your cake confirmation. Notify Flour& via email immediately of any errors.
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGE OF DATE
Cancellations made 4 or more weeks prior to the event date will not incur any costs. (Bouquet Packages require a fee of $50 IF they have received their complimentary cake box and cancel their order)
Cancellations made 3 weeks prior to the required cake date are subject to a $100 cancellation fee, with the remaining deposit refunded in full.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the event date will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.
Cancellations with less than 7 days' notice will result in forfeiture of the total cost of the cake.
Changing the event date incurs a $50 administration fee for each change made. If, due to unavailability we cannot accept your new event date, the cancellation will be subject to our ordinary terms and conditions.
If Flour& must cancel an order for any reason beyond its control, a full refund will be provided.
CHANGES
All changes must be made before the two-week cutoff period.
QUALITY
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services.
All ingredients are of the highest quality. Please note our premises handle nuts; while efforts are made to keep ingredients separate, cakes may contain traces of nuts.
Flour& is not liable for any allergic reactions caused by the ingredients in our cakes. All cakes may contain common allergens such as gluten, nuts, eggs, and dairy. Clients with severe allergies should inform Flour& in advance.
Cakes are perishable; we aim to deliver the freshest and highest quality products.
Designs are unique; variations from inspiration photos or previous designs may occur.
Decorative items like plastic figures or sugared items are for presentation; some may include non-edible parts like wires or toothpicks.
At Flour&, we secure fresh florals on our cakes with florist tape to prevent contamination. Please be aware that Flour& is not responsible for any allergic reactions caused by flowers or plant materials.
REFUNDS
Flour& is not liable for damage after delivery, setup, or once the cake leaves our premises.
Refunds for damages caused by Flour& will be processed accordingly.
STORAGE
Buttercream covered cakes should be stored in a refrigerator, and best served at room temperature.
Fondant-covered cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place in their supplied box; refrigeration may affect appearance.
DAMAGE
Flour& does not assume responsibility for cakes damaged after leaving our premises. Emergency call-out services are available at an agreed fee.
Flour& is not responsible for any damage caused by inedible items found on the cake (I.E Flowers, floral wire, toothpicks, wooden/plastic dowels)
PHOTOGRAPHS
Flour& reserves the right to use photographs of your cake(s) for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation. We will refrain from posting until 48 hours after delivery/pickup.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
Personal information will not be disclosed to external parties unless authorized by the customer or required by law.
HIRE SETS
1 Cake Stand – $150 card bond
1 Cake Knife & Server Set – $100 card bond
Hire fee –
$50.00 per Cake Stand
$30.00 per Cake Knife & Server Set
The minimum hire period is three (3) days, and payment is due three (3) days prior to the hire date. A bond payment is required and must be paid in advance. Once the bond has been received, you will receive an email requesting your bank account details so the refund can be processed promptly.
The bond will be refunded once all equipment is returned clean, undamaged, and in good condition. Please allow up to five (5) business days for the refund to be processed.
All hire equipment must be returned to Flour& Studio within the agreed hire period (address listed at the top of invoice’s). Any equipment left at the venue will be considered lost or stolen, and the bond payment will be forfeited.
Overdue returns will incur a fee of $5 per day. If the equipment is returned greasy or dirty in any way, a $5 cleaning fee will be charged at the time of return.
